Sadly the 17 year old driver died in front of the high school he attended. Witness reported the car going at a high rate of speed before the collision. Remarkably, the four passengers in the vehicle, although injured, survived the impact. While covering this story, another fatal accident happened a few blocks away.... more

July 19, 1992. The neighbor did this nasty trick when backing out of her driveway nearly completing a 360 until hitting the victims house in the 200 block of 175th street east causing serious structural damage to the home. The Cadillac stayed in the bedroom overnight until the home could be stabilized. No serious injuries.

July 7, 2007. Spanaway, WA. The 1951 vintage Cessna flipped during take off, landing upside down on the runway. The pilot and two passengers had a fun ride. One passenger was taken and checked out at a local hospital. The crash totaled the aircraft. The plane is nearly folded in half while being uprighted.

January 27, 2008. Spanaway, WA 208th Street East and 53rd Ave East. The sun didn't warm this stretch of roadway up and it was very slippery! A fun ride for the driver who was uninjured, she crawled out the back of the suv. Watch in the background as someone else comes close to going off the road themselves. This did air on KIRO and KCPQ.

The driver was northbound on 46th Ave East and for some reason went offroad through a wire fence, a pile of rebar and off the embankment landing upside down on 204th street east. August 19, 2006. The teen driver of the pickup truck made a left turn in front of the motorcycle. The motorcycle rider had the right of way. This was the second fatal that night. A fatal car vs pole had happened a few blocks away and less than an hour before this sccident did.
